Hi, my name is Coral Vincent, and here at Coral’s Caning Corner, I have the pleasure of bringing precious family heirlooms back to life while helping preserve the nearly lost art of chair caning.
Through my work, I’m not only repairing what was once broken but also creating something beautiful that can be enjoyed and passed down for generations to come.
I’ve always had a passion for fixing things and creating something new. Even as a child, I loved keeping my hands busy making and repairing things.
Today, I’m fortunate to own a small business doing something I truly love!
I discovered chair caning quite by accident and immediately knew it was a craft I wanted to pursue.
In 2024, I interned with an experienced chair caner and traveled to North Carolina for additional classes.
Since then, I’ve continued developing my skills through hands-on practice and independent learning.
I specialize in traditional hand-woven chair caning, but I’m always eager to explore new patterns and different weaving techniques.
