Since 1978 REED WEAVER’S commitment has been to the continuing appreciation of wicker as an art form through quality wickerwork.
In 1996, Reed was the first Minnesota artist invited to show her work at the new Neiman Marcus Gallery in Minneapolis, MN.
And in 2011 she was contracted by an airworthiness inspector for Boeing to create a replica of the original wicker seat used in the Spirit of St Louis airplane that Charles Lindbergh flew. The project was completed in June of 2012. Reed named ‘her’ Spirit Sophia and has included Spirit Sophia’s photo here.
Reed Weaver services include:
• The careful repair and restoration of wicker and rattan
• Stripping, refinishing, painting of wicker and rattan
• Cane, Rush, Splint and Danish Seating
