Now you are able to become a Facebook Fan and “Like” The Wicker Woman® by simply clicking on the bright blue “F” icon.
There’s also Cathryn’s Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube Channel icons for you to connect via any of those social network ways. Be sure to subscribe to The Wicker Woman YouTube channel to see all the great posted weaving videos. Enjoy!
This week’s MONDAY MENTION is a bit of a departure from my normal chair caning, wicker or basketry topic, but I’m sure will be very beneficial to all of my readers.
I was on Twitter this morning checking the new feature of Listing, when I came across a #FridayFollow by a person I was already following. She recommended following life and business coach, Shawn Driscoll as a person she would follow anywhere.
So, typical of the way things work on Twitter, I followed my peep’s recommendation and was delighted to read all about Shawn from Shawn’s Twitter account, and then clicked on her domain website, too ShawnDriscoll.com
There I found her blog, which I subscribed to right away and got her free audio download about how-to improve your business and your attitude about business.
Now I have also BeFriended her on Facebook, so we’re all set! I think this is one lady you’d be happy to get in touch with and have her as one of your Peeps and Friends, too!
Have you all noticed the new additions to the toolbar on our blogs this morning? Maybe I’m behind the times, but could swear it wasn’t there yesterday, right?
Look at the top of your blog on the left hand side and you will see some new tabs: Search Field, Follow, Share, Report Abuse and the old familiar, Next Blog.
So now we can easily Follow (through Google Friend Connect) another blog that you are on, just by clicking on the Follow link. And you can Share any post or blog with Twitter, Facebook or Google Reader by just clicking on that Share link. How cool is that? You don’t even need to leave the blog or go back to your Dashboard or anything! Presto!
And then I tried the Search field for specific keywords and it brought up all the posts from the blog with that keyword. Love these new features Blogger.com!
I’ve maintained a blog on Blogger.com (Weavin’ Wicker Woman), since 2004 and have really enjoyed the weekly and sometimes daily posting regimen I’ve gotten into over the years. My blog features basketry events, chair caning and wicker tips, hints and advice as well as highlighting very interesting artists, blogs or websites that I run across.
Some of the newest features to be added on the blog are the MONDAY MENTION and the WEDNESDAY WICKER WISDOM, which forces me to make posts on a regular basis. Now, I’m thinking of also adding a SATURDAY SUPPLIER column where I can feature some of the Cane & Basket Suppliers that advertise with me here on my domain site, WickerWoman.com
