'Headwaters Basket Workshop'

I'm baaack! Sorry about the absense!

April 16th, 2010 · Comments Off · Weavin' Wicker Woman Blog

Sorry for being so uncharacteristically quiet for such a long period of time here on this blog, but I had a lot of things going on these past few weeks and couldn’t post!

First of all, my trusty old (nine years to be exact!) computer was about to take a nose dive, so I had the hard drive replaced and all my data transferred to the new drive. And that was quite a feat in and of itself!

My goodness, but did I ever have a lot of crap on there along with the most valuable emails, email address book and tons of pictures I use on all my websites. Also discovered some really cool pictures that I forgot were even on my hard drive, hidden away somewhere that escaped me.

Thankfully, I’m pretty religious about backing things up, so if I lost anything in the transfer it could be restored, but still….

Will be leaving here soon, traveling to the Headwaters Basketmakers Workshop in Bemidji, Minnesota where we will be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Guild and the 15th Anniversary of the Workshop on April 16, 17 & 18, 2010.

I will be teaching two antler basket classes again, but my Onion and Garlic basket class tonight didn’t fill.
Will write again later and post pictures of the event!

Antler Basket Chosen for Bemidji Basket Guild Workshop Logo

February 20th, 2008 · Comments Off · Weavin' Wicker Woman Blog

I was very pleased to hear that the Headwaters Basketmakers Guild in Bemidji, Minnesota chose my “Antlers Sitting Pretty” antler basket as the logo for the 13th Annual Headwaters Basketweavers Spring Workshop. It will be printed on the brochures, and on the t-shirts and sweatshirts that are available for purchase.

The workshop will be held at the Salolampi Finnish Village at Concordia Language Villages in Bemidji, MN on April 18th – 20th, 2008.

I will be teaching the antler basket class and two birch bark classes over the three-day workshop. Other teachers are: Janet Olney, Sandy Quint, and Tressa Sularz.

Brochures should be available soon. Contact: Eve Sumsky, 481 Lake Ave. NW, Tenstrike, MN 56683 or epbensum@paulbunyan.net

Hope to see you there for another great “Weekend of Chocolate and Weaving”!
