February 17th, 2008 · Comments Off · Weavin' Wicker Woman Blog

The Lake Country Basket Guild and its members were featured in an online article by columnist Laurel Walker from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel newspaper on February 16, 2008.

Read all about basket guild members Ann Snider, Pam Talsky, Denise Arzberger, Deb Longtin and others on this interesting piece, which certainly does help to promote basketweaving in a positive manner!

As they mention in the article, basket guilds can be found on the Internet, and I of course have several listed on my website that you might be interested in checking out. http://www.WickerWoman.com/links/basketguilds Enjoy!

Snow, Snow and More Snow!

December 2nd, 2007 · Comments Off · Weavin' Wicker Woman Blog

December is coming in with a BIG BANG! We are under Winter Storm Warning, expecting 16 inches of snow tonight!!!!

One nice thing though, snow means it’s going to warm up a bit! It’s actually warmed up from 11 below zero this morning to to 19 degrees above this evening! Wheeee!

We have at least eight inches of snow already that fell today on top of a previous 3-4 inches and more is falling fast! Time to get out the 4×4 truck, I guess!

Good time to stay indoors weaving antler baskets and getting ready for my solo exhibition in Virginia, MN during March and April, 2008! Stay safe and warm ya’ll.

The Nevada State Museum actively engages people in understanding and celebrating Nevada’s natural and cultural heritage. The museum collects, preserves, and presents this heritage through exhibits, educational programs, and publications. Exhibits highlight the state’s geology, history, a replica walk-through mine and ghost town, and Under One Sky: Nevada’s Native American Heritage.
